Stay Ready, No Matter the Cold
When temperatures drop, diesel fuel becomes a serious risk. Wax crystals form. Water freezes. Fuel flow is disrupted. That can lead to rough-starts, delays, and costly downtime. Winter Express helps protect fuel quality and support reliable cold-weather operation.
Why Use Winter Express?
Winter weather creates enough challenges without fuel-related downtime.
Winter Express helps you:
- Avoid delays caused by fuel gelling and ice formation
- Reduce unplanned downtime during cold-weather operation
- Keep equipment running through changing winter conditions
- Protect productivity when every hour matters
Cold-weather fuel issues don’t stop at the tank. They affect your entire operation. Dependable fuel performance helps keep your operation moving.

How Winter Express Works
Winter Express works in #2 ULSD and biodiesel blends to support reliable cold-weather operation. It helps address three common cold-weather fuel problems:
- Prevents Fuel Gelling: As temperatures drop, wax crystals can plug filters and fuel lines. Winter Express helps maintain fuel flow and keep filters clear.
- Controls Water and Ice: Even small amounts of water can freeze and interrupt fuel delivery. Deicers disperse water and lower its freezing point to help prevent ice blockages.
- Maintains Consistent Fuel Delivery: When wax settles in the tank, it can be pulled into the system and cause plugging. Anti-settling agents help keep fuel stable throughout the tank.
Why It’s Better Than Common Alternatives
Many cold-weather fuel treatments come with tradeoffs. Traditional approaches often rely on blending in #1 diesel or kerosene:
- While the addition of #1 ULSD improves the cloud point and Cold Filter Plugging Point, it also reduces the engine power and fuel efficiency.
- Winter Express helps protect against cold-weather issues without sacrificing BTUs, power, or fuel economy.
