AgriVisor partners with analysts to provide producers enhanced ways to manage risk
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (Dec. 5, 2017) – AgriVisor and three other grain marketing advisors are kicking off the eighth year of the Insight program, a managed bushel program designed to help farmers manage price risk and plan for volatility in the market. AgriVisor works with commercial elevators throughout the Midwest offering price risk management tools in diversifying a producer's risk. AgriVisor is a partnership between GROWMARK and Illinois Farm Bureau.
"This is one tool in a producers marketing tool box," said Cory Winstead, GROWMARK manager, grain risk. "Through this program, farmers trust AgriVisor and partner analysts with a portion of their current or expected crop production. Our teams will price the futures component of the producer's eventual cash sale to partner elevators. Our analysts will alert customers when sales are made and explain the reason for the decision."
The program offers old, new, and long term crop options. Contact your local elevator or go to www.agrivisor.com for more information. Sign up runs through December 31, 2017.
