Bill Davisson was named chief executive officer of
GROWMARK, Inc. on Sept. 4, 1998. He is responsible for the
administration and direction of all activities of the
corporation.
Davisson graduated from the University of Iowa in 1970
with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He earned his
Certified Public Accountant’s certificate in 1985. He has
worked in the GROWMARK System his entire career. Davisson
has held various positions of increasing responsibility in
the Finance Division, including controller, and he was named
vice president, Finance in 1992. In 1993, he became vice
president, Member Services.
Davisson is currently serving on several boards of
directors, including National Cooperative Refinery
Association, CF Industries Holdings, Inc., MID-CO
COMMODITIES, INC., GROWMARK FS, LLC, Seedway, LLC, and
maltaCleyton. He serves as vice chairman of the National
Council of Farmer Cooperatives (NCFC) Executive Council and
is chairman of the board of trustees and executive committee
of the Graduate Institute of Cooperative Leadership. He has
been active in the National Society of Accountants for
Cooperatives and has served as its national director and
president. Davisson also served on the Legal, Tax, and
Accounting Committee of NCFC and is a past national
chairman. Locally, Davisson received the 2006 Outstanding
Service to Agriculture award from the McLean County Chamber
of Commerce.
Davisson and his wife, Sue, live in Bloomington. They
have three grown children.
