The Feed Sales Associate is a sales/consulting position.
He/she meets regularly with
Local producers providing information, identifying problems
and opportunities, and
making recommendations. Their goal is to help meet the
production and economic goals
of the customer.
Responsibilities include:
Analyzing feedstuffs, records, feeding systems, and
animal environment
Analyzing feeding programs and making appropriate
recommendations
Offering techniques and solutions to improve
genetics, environment, herd health, body condition, and
feeding management
Selling the products and services offered by the
cooperative
Evaluating the economics of current and/or proposed
production and management programs
Constantly seeking out and calling on new business
prospects
Staying current in technological advances and
management practices
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Associates degree in Animal Science
(dairy or swine specializations preferred)
2-3 years experience in animal production
agriculture
Excellent organizational and communications skills
